Legal battles
Depp was married to actress Amber Heard from 2015 to 2017. Their disputes led to two high-profile cases: a UK court ruled against him in a 2020 libel claim against a newspaper, while a US jury in 2022 found that Heard had defamed him. The cases received huge media attention.

He starred as Louis XV in Jeanne du Barry (2023), directed the film Modì about painter Amedeo Modigliani, stars as Scrooge in Ebenezer (2026) and remains the face of Dior’s Sauvage fragrance.
