Who is Travis Kelce?
Travis Kelce is an American professional football tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. A three-time Super Bowl champion, he is considered one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history and is also known for his popular podcast and media career.
Early life and education
Kelce was born in Westlake, Ohio, in 1989 and grew up in Cleveland Heights, where he played football, basketball and baseball in high school. He played college football at the University of Cincinnati and later completed his degree, receiving his diploma at a live podcast event in 2024.

Major achievements
Kelce holds the records for most seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end, including seven in a row, and reached 10,000 career receiving yards faster than any tight end before him. He was named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
Expertise
He is known for reading defences, finding open space and building an almost instinctive connection with his quarterback.
Media and business
With his brother Jason, a former Philadelphia Eagles centre, he co-hosts the New Heights podcast, one of the most popular in the United States. He has hosted Saturday Night Live, appeared in films and TV, and co-owns the brand Garage Beer.
Community impact
In 2015 he started the Eighty-Seven & Running foundation to support young people in Kansas City and his hometown of Cleveland.
Personal life and current work
Kelce married singer-songwriter Taylor Swift in July 2026. He signed a new one-year contract with the Chiefs for the 2026 season.
The Kelce brothers
Travis and his older brother Jason both became NFL stars. In Super Bowl LVII in February 2023, Travis’s Chiefs played Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles, the first Super Bowl to feature two brothers on opposing teams. The Chiefs won. The brothers’ close relationship is a big part of the appeal of their New Heights podcast, where they talk about football, family and pop culture.
Entertainment career
Kelce’s outgoing personality has led to many roles outside football, from his own reality dating show, Catching Kelce (2016), to TV adverts, film appearances and hosting Saturday Night Live.
